Bio

Originally from Madisonville, Texas, Gabrielle (Gabby) Bracewell is a dancer, artist and choreographer currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance at Texas Woman’s University (TWU). She has been immersed in dance since the age of two and began her competitive journey in fourth grade. Gabby trains extensively in jazz, hip-hop, heels, musical theatre, jazzfunk, modern, ballet, contemporary, and improvisation which has allowed her to develop a strong foundation in performance and movement.

Recently, Gabby has been performing with the TWU dance department and is committed to continually refining her artistic voice through performance, movement collaboration and learning from other artists such as Heather Morris, Kobi Rozenfield, Dr. Robin Conrad, Sean Cameron, Jordan Fuchs, and many others. As a choreographer, she has had two original works, Chiaroscuro and Hue.mn, produced by TWU, highlighting her interest in individuality, human connection, and pushing the boundaries of what is considered “normal”.

Outside of her work as a performer, Gabby has been teaching at local dance studios for over six years. She has led several teams to many wins, both at the regional and national level. She is very passionate about teaching kids and hopes to expand her expertise to many companies across the nation.

Committing herself to artistic growth and professionalism, Gabby approaches dance as both a form of expression and discipline. She aspires to one day open a dance studio to hopefully pass on her love and passion for dance to the next generation of students and that allows her to continue to create work that is dynamic, creative and constantly breaks past the mold set by others.
